Have you ever wondered how much work goes into introducing a new musical artist, and bringing a new song to life? Bell Media is hoping you do, as their new series The Launch will show you how much work goes into it all.

Bell Media just wrapped up production of a six part series set to air early 2018 on CTV called The Launch. It stars a roster of international superstars, including Shania Twain, Fergie, Boy George, OneRepublic’s Ryan Tedder, Alessia Cara and Nikki Sixx of Mötley Crüe, who will mentor unsigned emerging artists. Each episode will feature five of these unsigned artists who will be competing with each other for the chance to record a new, original song that is introduced at the start of every episode. The artists will audition for the mentors, with two of them being selected to continue forward with the process. From there the two artists have 48 hours to shape the song around their abilities, after which they will perform the song before the mentors and a live audience. Each episode is self-contained, so unlike other music competition series they won’t carry on from week to week. It really is a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to succeed. 

And the best part about it, is that immediately following each episode, the chosen songs by the chosen artists will be available online on Bell Media to download and listen to.
