Real Style Magazine’s hot new Fall 2016 issue has officially launched, and stars none other than the beautiful Emily Hampshire (page 34) as our cover girl. The 34-year-old Montreal-born star is one of our favourite rising Canadian celebrities, to whom we first spoke back in 2010. With films such as The Trotsky and My Awkward Sexual Adventure under her belt, Hampshire has been stealing the spotlight on the small screen ever since. Most recently, her roles include Stevie Budd on the hit CBC comedy Schitt’s Creek and Jennifer Goines on SyFy’s 12 Monkeys.

Her next adventure is a part in acclaimed Canadian director Xavier Dolan’s debut English language film The Death and Life of John F. Donovan, which will be released in 2017. We spoke to the homegrown beauty about her TV roles, her experience working with young talented Dolan and her passion for acting.

Along with Hampshire, we also bring you an exclusive interview with Irish-Canadian author Emma Donoghue (page 32), who has been celebrated for her bestseller Room. The prolific writer chats with us about her newest novel The Wonder, which hits the shelves this fall.

The changing weather of autumn also means that it’s time for the latest in fall fashion! Like every issue, we explore the hottest runway trends. This time, we check out the emerging looks from the global fashion capitals, interview footwear designer Tabitha Simmons (page 74) and admire sumptuous velvet designs in A Royal Affair. Meanwhile, our latest Buy Now pages and breathtaking editorial shoots bring you deeper into the season’s most coveted fashions.

The chill in the air also means that it’s time to update your beauty regimen. Our lovely Beauty Insider, Murdoch Mysteries star Hélène Joy (page 42), talks about her tips and tricks for incredible skin, hair and natural makeup. We look at the most advanced celebrity treatments (page 49) for the red carpet, share our must-have fall products and talk to Toronto-based master hair colourist Luis Pacheco.

As always, our Culture section brings you the latest in television, books, music and film, with a special focus on the upcoming Toronto International Film Festival movies. With the Just For Laughs 42 Festival approaching, we also interview Toronto-born comedian Sabrina Jalees (page 28).

Enjoy the new issue!
