In this interview we asked Miss Multiverse Italy. What makes you a power woman? Martina graduated in marketing and business communication at “La Sapienza” university in Rome.
Can you give us a short introduction of yourself, where are you from, education and work?
I was born in Naples, known worldwide for the Amalfi Coast and Capri, I am 23 years old and I grew up in Rome. I love traveling and learning about new cultures. For this reason, I have spent part of my university studies in Valencia (Spain) and in Brussels (Belgium) for six months each.
I have also worked for few months as a model in Dubai, in the famous fashion agency Wilhelmina. There I got the chance to shoot and model important brands such as Fendi, Harper’s Bazaar and Vogue. I am currently working as model and digital marketing specialist in Italy.
What is your motivation to participate in Miss Multiverse 2021?
My motivation to participate to Miss Multiverse 2021 is showing the world that each woman is full of resources, not only the beauty or the external appearance, what matters the most is our determination and power. I have always refused to participate in competitions that are only based on beauty, Miss Multiverse gives us instead the opportunity to get involved to physical and intelligence tests, that’s why I accepted the challenge!
What is your idea of happiness and success?
My idea of happiness is surrounding myself with love and serenity that goes hand in hand with my success‘ conception, realizing myself in life. In the future, I would like to work in fashion industry’s marketing and, at the same time, have a family.
How do you plan to contribute to the society if you win Miss Multiverse 2021?
If I get to win Miss Multiverse 2021, I will make my country (Italy) proud. I also love helping people, this is the reason why I volunteer on a regular basis. Thus, I would continue to do so even more if I win Miss Multiverse 2021.
What have you learned through these last months of the pandemic?
In these last months of pandemic, I have learned to enjoy the present because planning the future is correct but roadblocks can happen anytime and cause you to change your plans. I have also learned to appreciate little things and small gestures that make you happy.
Who is the most inspiring person in your life and how?
The most stimulating person of my life is my dear friend Melania. Despite having struggled with poor health conditions, she has always fought smiling and has overcome all the difficulties by never being discouraged. Today, she is a splendid healthy strong woman who is about to graduate. I have learned a lot from her and I hope that I will have her same strength to deal with any pain.
What is the role of the Internet or social networking sites on you?
Nowadays, society, Internet and social networks have a great influence on people, especially on young generations, whom are exposed to social media every day. As far as I am concerned, I think social networks are important working resources, since they can also bring you money benefits. Nonetheless, don’t feel dependent on them. I could very well live without.
What is the biggest mistake you have ever made in your life? What have you done to overcome it?
In my life, I have certainly made mistakes but never insurmountable ones that I got to regret. I always try to tackle problems with tenacity. I believe that from every mistake, it is possible to draw lessons that help us to grow and mature, we must always look at the positive side of things.
How can you differentiate your countries fashion compared to the rest of the world?
Being an Italian model, I feel fashion flowing in my blood. In Italy we have among the best fashion companies in the world, the designers who have made fashion history such as Valentino, Versace, D&G, Prada, Gucci, Armani. All over the world, Italy is known for fashion, good food and wonderful landscapes.
What are your strengths and weaknesses in this contest?
My strengths to participate in Miss Multiverse 2021 are certainly my ambition to always do better than I can imagine, I am an athletic person, I am undoubtedly smart and very sociable. A weakness could be the fear of heights, I suffer vertigo but if there is any challenge in which I have to face this fear, I will try to overcome it.
Have you traveled to the Dominican Republic before? And if yes, how did you like it?
I’ve never been to Dominican Republic but I love traveling and meeting new people so I can’t’ wait to participate in Miss Multiverse 2021! Thanks to my sponsor MB Real Estate my stay will be even more enjoyable.
Are you involved in any Charity work or organization if yes then how it contributes social & economical changes?
I am not currently involved in charities but in the past, I have participated in initiatives organized by my neighborhood’s church to help the most unfortunate people get food and clothes. I also volunteered in the kennel in my area because I love animals and it makes me feel good to be able to make them happy.
What makes you a Power Woman?
I am a Power Woman because I never back down in front of any difficulty, I face any problem with a smile and this makes me stronger and stronger. I always try to transmit my positivity to my friends when they are in difficulty, which is why they often see me as a point of reference and call me ”Mamma Sepina”.
What is your biggest dream, one that you could make come true and how would you do this?
My biggest dream is to be happy in life by fulfilling myself professionally and emotionally. My dream is working in the marketing sector of a big fashion company or to work for TV.
